I had so much fun making my first mouse
that I decided to make another, Scoot is the result. He is based on a Wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus) so he has a longer snout
and bigger ears. I also couldn't resist giving this mouse individual fingers and toes. He measures approximately
4" sitting and 5" when standing to the ear tips.
He has been lovingly created with a combination
of light brown and cream realistic synthetic fur with guard hairs made by Tyber in Belgium. His ears,
arms, legs and tail are made from ultrasuede. He has been firmly stuffed with polyfil and has a bag of glass
beads in his tummy to give him a nice weight. He is fully jointed and his tail, arms and legs (including fingers
and toes) have been wired for poseability. He has glass eyes and his nose and mouth has been embroidered.
Last but not least Scoot has the all important (for a mouse anyway) whiskers made from horse hair.
As you can see from his round tum, Scoot is a mouse who loves his food.
His absolute favourite nibbles are berries, in fact like most young executive hedge fund managers he never travels
without his BlackBerry. They are made them from onyx and garnet beads with a wired ultrasuede stalk and embroidered leaf.
"Hey there!"
"Now, where did I put my BlackBerry?"
"Here it is!"
"I keep my whiskers clean despite all that blackberry
juice."
"They are mine, all mine!"
"Berry nice!"
"Coooool!"
*Scoot and his blackberries have gone
to live in California, USA*
