Sammy is a special order, she has been
created as a birthday gift in memory of a much loved chinchilla called Sammy.
Sammy has been created using a combination
of fabulously soft Tissavel synthetic fabrics, mini bear fabric and ultrasuede (for the ears/pads). She
has been filled with polyfill and a bag of plastic pellets sits in her tummy for added weight. She has a nut
& bolt double jointed neck and cotterpin jointed arms/legs. Additionally she has wire armature in her body/tail
and all four limbs, including her individual fingers and toes for poseability. She has black glass eyes ringed with waxed
cotton cord 'lids' and her nose and mouth have been created using perle cotton embroidery thread. Her individually applied
whiskers are made from horse hair.
Sammy has been extensively scissor sculpted and lightly airbrush shaded for
realism. She measures just under 8" in height. Last but not least there is an Arcas Designs fabric tag
sewn in under her tail.
