He has been created from Schulte synthetic fabrics
with mini bear fabric and ultrasuede ears. He has been firmly stuffed with polyfil and a bag of plastic pellets
nestles in his tummy for added weight. He is fully jointed and has wire armature in his arms and legs for
poseability. His feet are weighted with steel balls to help him stand. His beautiful blue taxidermy glass
eyes have been set into specially constructed sockets and have fabric and waxed cotton cord lids. Perle cotton
thread defines his nose and mouth and he has individually applied horsehair whiskers.
The Easter
rabbit's fine clothing is removeable. He has a pink Dupion silk waistcoat with a stand-up collar, pockets
and covered buttons. His bow tie is made from matching Dupion silk. The turquoise jacket is made from worsted suiting
fabric and is fully lined in turquoise satin. On his head sits a top hat created from matching fabrics and lined in satin,
trimmed with a silk ribbon and artificial pink blossom.
The Easter rabbit is carrying an Easter basket (how could he not?), Easter bonnet
and a bouquet of flowers. The basket is woven from sea grass, trimmed with ribbon and filled with delicious looking
eggs. The eggs are carved from birch hardwood, painted with acrylic paints and sealed with a gloss lacquer. The bonnet
is woven straw and covered with artificial silk flowers and the bouquet of artificial silk flowers are bound together by ribbon.
Two small Easter chicks can also be found hiding amongst the flowers and eggs.
The Easter rabbit has been scissor-sculpted and has needle-sculpted hands and
feet. He has light airbrushed shading on his face and an Arcas Designs fabric tag is sewn in just behind his tail. He
is a big bunny measuring approximately 24" to the top of his hat.
Now on to his pictures....
