Spike is a European hedgehog, Erinaceus europaeus.
He has been created using a combination of Schulte 'hedgehog'
mohair, Schulte synthetic fabric and ultrasuede. He has been filled with bouncifil and has wire armature in his body and limbs for posing (and semi-curling up).
He has a polymer clay nose and realistic glass taxidermy eyes set into specially
constructed sockets. His mouth has been constructed using perle cotton thread and his face, ears and legs have been lightly airbrush shaded for realism.
There is an Arcas designs fabric tag sewn in along his back. Spike measures approximately 7" from nose tip to bottom when stretched out and 4" when
standing on his paws.
